Cardboard Head Project

This is a collaborative short film project with Brad Condie, Matt Mullins, and myself. The film was originally conceived after I came across the image below of the sliced cardboard head image I found during research. I developed a workflow for exporting animation from Autodesk Maya to still .fbx files that can be sliced with illustrator files created. the Illustrator files can be input into a laser cutter to generate the parts of the heads. These heads are used to create the frames of animation then shot like a stop-motion film. We are using a experimental poem as its base story. This film is slated to be completed by December 2023.
